Not too long ago I was thinking about the way I live my life from day to day. What I found was that it is not necessarily the life that I want to be living. Now don’t get me wrong, I love certain aspects of my life. Much of my life is really great. I’m so thankful for that. But too often I’m living a life that is just okay. And that is my fault.
Frankly, I’m tired of mediocrity.
So I decided at that moment to grab a pencil and a sheet of paper and write the ways in which I could live a life that was great. All the time.
Be more alive.
Be more aware.
Be more involved.Take notice.
Slow down.
Enjoy it.Get up earlier.
Be more active.
Enjoy the high of life’s little experiences.Eat better.
Enjoy the good food.Take stock of the important things.
Get rid of the unimportant—the clutter.
Meditate.
Be thankful.
Start a dialogue.Love fully.
Writing the list was easy. Now it’s time to really live it.

Thank you! It was really important for me to write this post. My next plan is to take the list and turn it into a piece of art that I can hang in the house to remind me of these things on a regular basis.

You are such a great “cheerleader” for me. I’m going to hug the crap out of you in NY this summer. You are still making an appearance there, right?

Awww, that is a FANTASTIC list! You’re so right… these are the important things that need to be done. Not stressing, holding in anger, rushing along, or being a cynic. (I personally have a long way to go, on most days.(

I really need to do this too. Especially since I found myself telling my husband that I hate my life. But I didn’t mean my life with him just different aspects of it that are bringing me down. But if I change my attitude that will change.
