One Year and Ten Days to Go

Way back on April 19, 2008 I started my 101 in 1001 list.

It has been 626 days since I started and so far I have completed 55 of those 101 items. That leaves just 46 to do.

Forty-six over the next 375 days. I can do that, right?

Here’s a look at my list. The stuff in bold is what I have left to do. Well, except the start/end dates and category names which are also in bold. But I made those a different color to keep from confusing you and shit. Everything else on the list has been completed and marked with the date I finished and any relevant details.

Thanks Ashley. It has been a really good experience for me. The items I chose weren’t meant to be necessarily difficult, but they were things I’ve either wanted to do for a long time and hadn’t taken the initiative or things I needed to do to become more fulfilled in life.

I know that if I hadn’t started this list many of the things I’ve completed would have never been done.

  • I’ve got a bandsaw that can probably make a G. Come on over.

And, there’s Boerner Botanical Gardens in Milwaukee. I don’t know about the Japanese Gardens, but it is an arboretum. You can also do a guided tour of Miller Brewing Co, it’s free, and they give samples. It has a museum of sorts in the old Plank Road tunnels.

Not sure I want to dash over to your house with the current temps you guys are experiencing, but thanks for the offer. :)

Man, you’ve told me about so many things to do in Milwaukee this summer. I may have to look into an extended stay.

  • It is pretty cold here. And I’m not sure I can actually get to the saw at the moment with the big garage project we have going.

There’s a ton of fun things to do in Milwaukee, I’m hoping to make an extended stay of it myself. Speaking of Milwaukee, any chance you are a Rocky Horror Picture Show fan?

I wondered if there would be any room with that garage project you guys are in the middle of. As far as RHPS, I don’t dislike it but I’ve never been to a theater with a bag of rice at midnight to see it either.

That’s what Mrs Nobody said too. It’s playing while we’ll be in Milwaukee this summer.

  • I want to start one of these lists, but I’ve been having a bit of trouble with it. Some of the things I want to do I’m starting to do.

You should absolutely do this. Making the list took me forever but I’m so glad that I did it.

I think my list took several months to create. And I liked a couple of the items on the lists that inspired me to do this that I stole them too. :)
